Murray Gold created a YouTube account. This just happened.

His hands. He plays with flat fingers. Good. He is doing it from memory - it’s actually difficult to play something you wrote from memory. (Composition pianists get to use music in recitals, but the others have to memorize it.) And the faces he makes at the camera are just excellent, but the faces he makes while playing… It’s like seeing an old friend. All this AND HE IS FUNNY! Gah. 

Conclusion: not a human.

Emily Bear is a seven year old prodigy who not only plays the piano wonderfully and composes, but it’s an amazing human being. Here she plays a song she composed for Ellen’s wedding. It’s called “Once Upon A Wish” because “[Ellen] got [her] wish.” ELLEN TOTALLY TEARS UP, THIS IS AMAZING.

I also love the “oh, you played at the white house, how was that?” “I MET THE JONAS BROTHERS— and also the president.” Hehe, she’s so cute.
